It was 1:52p China Time. I received the message that I’d been waiting to receive for the past 30 hours.
Negative.
My last PCR (COVID) test results – the one that would determine my freedom – were finally in.
I’d showered and got fully dressed with the anticipation that today would be the day that I’d finally get to leave the hotel room without being chaperoned by a CDC agent or Chinese government official.
I’ve been in quarantine in China for the past 59 days. ALMOST 2 MONTHS.
