Friend, by now I think you know that one of my favorite foods to enjoy is a succulent, juicy burger and well-cooked chicken wings.
Well, while on a recent business trip in Greensboro, I heard about a popular burger joint in the area and decided to try it out. It's HOPS Burger Bar, situated on Spring Garden Street across from the hotel I was staying at.
When I Arrived
My culinary experience was nothing short of amazing, all thanks to the passionate bartender, Kyle P.
Upon my arrival, Kyle extended a warm welcome, and his enthusiasm for the food he was serving was palpable, which ultimately made my dining experience unforgettable. Not to mention, he sported an orange face mask and hoodie, which added a unique touch of style to his attire.
Kyle recommended several appetizers such as the fried goat cheese balls, cauliflower, and tomatoes, but advised me to steer clear of the fried crab cake balls which I was about to order.
I asked why he had objections to the crab cakes. He jovially replied that there was nothing wrong with them, emphasizing that he loves crab and eats everything under the sun, but recommended that I try something a bit less common - the goat cheese balls.
It was evident that he was knowledgeable about the menu and the different ingredients used in the dishes.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that HOPS Burger Bar had recently introduced 52 new items to their menu, which included a variety of appetizers, burgers, and sides. Despite these additions, the prices remained incredibly reasonable.

What I Ordered
Based on Kyle's recommendation, I ordered the fried goat cheese balls, sweet Thai chili wings, and the special burger of the week, which came with a side salad.
The fried goat cheese balls were an exemplary dish, crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. The sweet Thai chili wings were also delightful, with just the right amount of heat and sweetness.
The special burger of the week was juicy and flavorful, and the side salad was a refreshing complement.
Throughout my meal, our server, John, was attentive and ensured that we had everything we needed. He had a comprehensive understanding of the menu and offered suggestions on what to try next time.
